Middle School Band
Viking Middle School offers instrumental music for
students in grades 5-8. Each grade has their own
concert band. 5th graders each meet Monday,
Wednesday, and Friday for 40 minutes. 6th and 7th
graders meet everyday for 28 minutes, and 8th graders
meet every Tuesday, Thursday and every other Friday
for 44 minutes. 8th grade band is taught this year at
the high school by Mr. Adam Bassak. In addition to
concert band we also offer Jazz Band, Pep Band,
Marching Band, Solo and Ensemble, and various honors
bands for students in 6th, 7th and 8th grades.

Personal Biography
I grew up in Slinger, Wisconsin (located about 40 miles north of
Milwaukee) and graduated from Slinger High School.. I attended the
University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire where I graduated with a Bachelors
of Music Education degree. I have been teaching at Viking Middle
School since the 2003-2004 school year. I currently live in the
Baldwin-Woodville School District with my wife Kelly and daughters
Reese and Ava.
